Deer Park has a long history – folly and tea house, game keeper’s cottage, army camp, family home. Now it is a comfortable large holiday house with everything you need to keep the kids entertained and help the adults relax.
There is plenty of space: 2 double bedrooms, 2 twin bedrooms (one downstairs with its own bathroom, perfect for those with limited mobility), two single bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a huge farmhouse kitchen with Aga, a breakfast room (with open fire), sitting room (with log burner), dining room and smart drawing room upstairs, perfect for a pre supper cocktail.
Outside there is a lovely secure garden with uninterrupted views over the park to Scampston Hall and up to the Wolds. Garden furniture for summer evenings. Beyond the garden fence is your own private Capability Brown park.
The photographs below are mostly of the interior – the garden is a bit grey looking as I write (February) but as the summer progresses we will take some photos. All photos are copyright English Country Cottages.

And below are the floor plans for the house. A couple of things to note – bed 3 (a single) and one of the bathrooms are only accessible through bed 2 or bed 4. And bed 6 (a mid sleeper) is a slightly short bed, really only suitable for those under 6′ – it’s a great child’s room but not so good for a large fella:
